Coulter has made a career out of controversial statements made during appearances on talk shows and in her numerous books. Her first book, High Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Case Against Bill Clinton, argued for the impeachment of Bill Clinton. In her writing, she typically blasts liberal democrats on a range of issues, including what, in her mind, is their lack of respect for people of the Christian faith. -
Jewish Comments
Coulter faced criticism over comments she made on Donny Deutsch's The Big Idea. After an exchange about Coulter's vision for a perfect America, Deutsch asked Coulter, "It would be better if we were all Christian?" and Coulter responded, "Yes." She went on to say, "We just want Jews to be perfected." -
NBC Controversy
Coulter was scheduled to appear on the first and fourth hour of NBC's The Today Show on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, to promote her latest book, Guilty: Liberal 'Victims' and Their Assault on America. NBC canceled Coulter's scheduled appearance the night before, explaining that they wanted to devote more air time to news in the Middle East.
