• There was a parade held for the 25th anniversary down Hollywood Blvd, that not only had most of the original cast, but floats depicting the floats used in the the movie.

• The movie was scheduled to be filmed at the University of Missouri until the script was read and then denied. The University of Oregon in Eugene granted access and was used in parts of the film.
