Trivia
- There was a parade held for the 25th anniversary down Hollywood Blvd, that not only had most of the original cast, but floats depicting the floats used in the the movie.
- The movie was scheduled to be filmed at the University of Missouri until the script was read and then denied. The University of Oregon in Eugene granted access and was used in parts of the film.
- The Delta fraternity motto reads "Ars gratia artis", which is also found on the MGM studio logo.
- Judith Belushi-Pisano, John Belushi's wife was an extra in a few of the toga party scenes.
- Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Brian Doyle-Murray, and Dan Aykroyd all turned down roles in the film.
