The Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN) is an online character played by James Rolfe. In a series of YouTube videos, the Angry Video Game Nerd gives exaggerated "satirical angry game reviews," often using profanity. AVGN reviews retro video games and video game consoles. Rolfe started making the videos in as a joke in 2004, and began uploading them to YouTube in 2006.
