  • Brief Biography

    An All-American football player in his native Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Angelo Crowell opted to play college football for the Virginia Cavaliers, starting in 1999. He made significant contributions as a college linebacker, being named co-captain in his junior year.

    He was drafted by Buffalo in 2003 and made his professional debut that same year. He primarily played special teams in six games his first season, recording two tackles. In 2006, Crowell took on the starting job and recorded 116 tackles, leading the team, and two interceptions. His statistically best season came in 2007, with 126 tackles, two sacks, one safety, four pass deflections and one interception, which he returned for five yards.

    In September of 2008, Crowell was placed on injured reserve after undergoing knee surgery. He did not play during the 2008 season.
