Angela Lansbury is a multi-award winning British stage and film actress, whose career has spanned seven decades. Her career on Broadway has included roles in Mame, Gypsy, The King and I and Sweeney Todd. She returned to Broadway in 2007 and has since appeared in several productions including the 2009 production of Blithe Spirit.
At the 2009 Tony Awards, Lansbury won Best Featured Actress for her role as a medium in the Broadway production of Blithe Spirit, which opened at the The Shubert Theatre on March 15, 2009.
