A source close to Brian McNamee, a former New York Yankee strength trainer told ESPN's Shaun Assael that information was supplied to the George Mitchell investigation regarding supplying Andy Pettitte with steroids. On September 30, 2006 the Los Angeles Times reported that former relief pitcher Jason Grimsley named Pettitte as a user of performance enhancing drugs during a June 6, 2006 federal raid by agents investigating steroids in baseball.
