Andrew Ladd

  • Career Highlights

    Prior to playing in the NHL, Ladd played in the Western Hockey League for the Vancouver Giants and the Calgary Hitmen. He was drafted fourth overall in the 2004 NHL Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes. Ladd continued in the WHL after the draft, as the 2004-05 season was canceled due to the lockout. He made his NHL debut with the Hurricanes in 2005, playing 29 regular season games. Ladd also played in 17 playoff games, as the Hurricanes won the 2006 Stanley Cup Championship. Ladd started the next season with the Hurricanes, then was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks on February 26, 2008.
