Andrew Fenlon

Local Boston musician Andrew Fenlon was introduced on the premiere episode of Season 9 of American Idol. A 2007 graduate of Tufts University with majors in Art History and Comparative Religions, Fenlon performs throughout the Boston area as Andy Flop.http://www.myspace.com/andyflop His initial introduction was a series of complaints about too many interviews and the six-hour wait, followed by his performance of "House of the Rising Sun".

Sporting dark-rimmed glasses that suggested a similarity to Clark Kent, Fenlon did not make friends with the judges. They immediately took offense at the chip they perceived to be on his shoulder and he continued to exhibit a sizeable talent for button-pushing during his short time with them.

Fenlon was featured in a series of Idol teaser commercials entitled "The Most Arrogant Contestant Ever" in which he is depicted walking into the room in slow motion with the words "Most Arrogant" emblazoned in orange across the screen.
