Andrew Dice Clay is a controversial American actor and comedian known for his profane jokes.
He was a contestant on the second season of Celebrity Apprentice on NBC. Andrew Dice Clay was the first contestant fired from the show.
Career
Born in Brooklyn, Clay started to do impressions for his family at a very young age. In 1978, he worked his first comedy gig where he impersonated Hollywood actors like John Travolta and Jerry Lewis. It wasn't long before Clay graduated the New York comedy club scene and went on to Hollywood. There he starred in the movie The Adventures of Ford Fairlane and a short lived sitcom titled Bless This House. Clay now says he is semi-retired and makes occasional appearances at comedy clubs and events.
Andrew Dice Clay Controversies:
- 1989: While introducing Cher at the MTV video music awards Clay went into some of his more raunchy material. After this it was announced that Clay was banned from the network.
- 1990: After being announced host for an upcoming Saturday Night Live episode, cast member Nora Dunn and musical guest Sinead O'Connor protested and refused to appear on the show.
