  • Slovak professional hockey player Andrej Meszaros is a defenseman for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League.

    Meszaros was drafted 23rd overall by the Ottawa Senators during the first round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He competed for his home country in the 2003 and 2005 World Junior Championships and 2004 World Championships and played one season in the Western Hockey League before joining the Senators for the 2005-2006 season.

    An offensive defenseman, Meszaros scored 39 points in 82 games during his rookie season to tie for second place among NHL rookies and earn a spot on the NHL All-Rookie Team. He went on to earn 30-plus points and play in every Senators' game during the next two seasons.
