Andreia Schwartz is a madam from Brazil that authorities believe has additional information about the Eliot Spitzer prostitution scandal. She was convicted in 2006 of running a brothel, and was scheduled to be deported to Brazil on March 15, 2008. Her deportation has been delayed, however, and she is being held in prison in New Jersey until she can be questioned. Schwartz was reportedly one of the informants the authorities used in making their case against Spitzer, and they are not ready to release her until they are certain they won't need her testimony in the future.
