  • Officially named the Principality of Andorra, Andorra is a small landlocked country located in Western Europe. It is nestled in the eastern Pyrenees Mountains and bordered by Spain and France.
  • Economy

    This country's economy depends heavily on agriculture and tourism. Tourism itself contributes to about 80% of the Gross Domestic Product. Approximately ten million people visit the country each year and take advantage of its duty free status.
  • History

    It is believed that Andorra was founded in 808 by Charlemagne. There were several struggles for power over Andorra its first several centuries. The French annexed Andorra several times, including as recently as 1933. In 1993 Andorra adopted the Parliamentary Democracy form of Government, reducing it's Co-Principality ties to France to more tradition.
