• Appearing on the August 5, 2008, broadcast of Live with Regis and Kelly, CNN anchorman Anderson Cooper held forth on the E! channel's Living Lohan reality show. Among his comments, Cooper said that the show's teenage star Ali Lohan "looks to be about 60." This remark prompted the following response from Ali's mother, Dina Lohan: "People are just cruel! This is bad karma for him."

  On the Living Lohan:

  • "The worst show that I cannot watch—and I must say that I've watched it maybe four or five times—is Living Lohan... [It's] just a train wreck and I watched it for a while and I said to myself, 'I cannot believe I am wasting a minute of my life watching these horrific people.'"

  On Ali Lohan:

  • "There's this perfectly nice seeming, allegedly a 14-year-old girl, who looks to be about 60, but... I say that with concern and love. And she allegedly wants to be a singer, and/or actor-slash-performer of some sort... strip tease person? I don't know... She seems perfectly nice and I feel bad for her."
