  • Anders Eriksson is a professional ice hockey defenseman who most recently played for the Calgary Flames of the NHL. Eriksson was waived by the Flames on October 7, 2008.
  • NHL Career

    Eriksson was drafted 22nd overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1993 entry draft and joined as a full time member of the team for their Stanley Cup winning 1997-98 season.

    After being traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in 1999, Eriksson went on to score a record high of 25 points the following season. From 2000 to 2006, Eriksson spent partial seasons with the Florida Panthers, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Columbus Blue Jackets and their affiliated American Hockey League teams.

    After playing a full season with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2006-07, which was his first full NHL season since 2000-01, Eriksson was signed as an unrestricted free agent by the Calgary Flames to a two-year contract.
