Araujo's modeling career started in Brazil where she was discovered by a photographer at a young age. After moving to Sao Paulo, she established herself as one of Brazil's most popular models. She has since crossed over to international fame with runway work with elite designers such as Betsey Johnson and Marc Ecko. She is widely recognized for her work in the 2007 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
