Biography
Amy Walker is an actress, writer, singer and dancer from Seattle, Washington.
She gained notoriety with her 21 Accents Video, in which she repeats the same sentence 21 times in as many different accents. She has commented in interviews that performing a convincing accent is as much about assuming the facial expressions and mannerisms of that culture as it is about changing one's voice or intonation. She has also said that the British accent is the easiest for her and, if she had to pick only one to think in, it would be that one.
An actress/singer/songwriter since the highchair, she has played key roles in more than 70 theatrical shows and films in both global hemispheres. As a writer, Amy has created screenplays, short stories, and many memorable characters for YouTube and both incarnations of her one-woman show, Amy Walker: Inside Out.
The ConnectedFilm Project
The ConnectedFilm Project is uniting a global community to produce the
feature film, Connected, by dollar donations from 1 million people around
the world. Everyone who donates will have their name in the credits of the
finished film, to show that each gift is equally important. The Connected
Revolution is the idea that together we can make a film about
Connecting by Connecting to people around the world. We are
simultaneously making the film and demonstrating the collective power of
uniting many gifts, fueled by the soulfire of a global community.
Connected is a film script, written by Amy Walker and Marilee Jolin. A
disconnected family struggles to love each other for who they are in a film
that explores instant communication and true connection. The film follows
the story of the Russell family in the midst of an 80th birthday celebration.
Soon the entire family is wrapped up in arguments about the
inadequacies of each other's personal lives. In the ensuing shouting and
arguing, a mysterious stranger arrives who jars their focus off of
themselves. The family then begins the process of reconnecting to their
spouses, children and siblings. Each character is flawed but genuine in
their mutual bonds of love. Connected shows the conflict and harmony
that comes about when a diverse group of people express love in their
own personal ways.
The SoulFire Project is the ultimate goal: an empowering community
website where anyone can make a page about a project fueled by their
own soulfire, and gain awareness and even funding in this way.
