Rosario DiGirolamo
Her former boyfriend, Rosario DiGirolamo was arrested on March 20, 2008, and charged with her murder. Her infant son, Michael, was abandoned in a hospital parking lot in Newark, Delaware, two days after she was last seen. DiGirolamo was married at the time of their relationship, although he had begun divorce proceedings.
Remains Found
On March 24, 2008, human bones were found in a suitcase in a Staten Island pond. On April 18, 2008, it was confirmed that the bones found were in fact the remains of Amy Giordano.
