Amy Acuff is an American track and field athlete from Texas whose specialty is the high jump event, in which she has won numerous national indoor and outdoor championships. She was born on July 14, 1975 in Port Arthur, Texas.
Acuff's High Jump career began in high school, where she set national records each year, which helped earn her a full athletic scholarship to UCLA. Acuff was inducted into the UCLA Bruins Hall of Fame in the year 2007. Acuff's career personal best is 2.01 m, she achieved this record in Zürich, Switzerland on August 15, 2003.
Amy Acuff has also attended four Olympic Games, finishing 20th in Atlanta, USA. Acuff finished 17th in Sydney, Australia in 2000. Acuff finished 4th in the Athens, Greece Olympics of 2004. Acuff's finished 9th overall at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
She has also earned her credentials in Eastern Medicine, and is a practicing acupunturist.
