Amrita Rao is a Bollywood model and actress whose first appearance was in the film Ab Ke Baras in 2002. She gained further attention in Ishq Vishk, for which she received a Filmfare award nomination. In 2004, she acted opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Main Hoon Na, and in 2006 she teamed up with Shahid Kapoor in Vivah; both were commercial successes.
Her lesser known films include Deewar, Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi, Shikar, and Pyare Mohan.
In 2007 she starred opposite Mahesh Babu in the hit Telegu film, Athidi. However, she recently appeared in the film, My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves, which was not so well received by audiences.
