Amie Street is an online music store, featuring indie artists. It was founded in 2006 by three seniors at Brown University: Elliott Breece, Elias Roman, and Joshua Boltuch. After they graduated, they continued the company, and moved its headquarters from Providence, Rhode Island to Long Island City in Queens, New York. The company received national exposure in March 2008, when it was revealed that one of its artists, Ashley Alexandra Dupre also worked as a prostitute for the Emperors Club VIP. She was named as the woman who met with former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer in the Mayflower Hotel Room 871, triggering the events that culminated in his resignation on March 13, 2008.
