Amerie

Amerie is an R&B singer-songwriter from Fitchburg, Massachusetts.

Amerie broke into the music industry singing on the Nas track Rule in 2001. Her first album, All I Have was released a year later and received significant radio play. In 2005 when her second album dropped she easily surpassed her previous levels of success due to the single 1 Thing and a popular remix that included rapper Jay-Z. Her third studio album, Because I Love It was released in May of 2007. In 2008 she was dropped by Columbia Records, it is rumored that she is currently working on her fourth album and has signed a deal with Island Def Jam.
