America's Toughest Jobs was in the NBC's summer lineup for 2008. The competition featured twelve people facing off against one another taking on jobs that are considered high-risk. All while on a 60 day cross country journey. The show was compared to the Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs, and offeried a cash prize of $1 million. Directors initially said the show would have the intensity of Fear Factor, and the physical endurance of The Amazing Race and American Gladiators. It was canceled before it ever aired.
