America's Next Top Model Cycle 11

Cycle 11 of America's Next Top Model kicked off on September 3, 2008 and wraps up with the season finale on November 19, 2008. Each week the models compete to win the grand prize of a $100,000 contract with Cover Girl cosmetics, management by Elite Models and the cover and a six-page feature spread along in Seventeen magazine.Official Site: ANTM

Transgender Model

Isis King, the transgender contestant, was discovered by Tyra Banks. Formerly known as Darrell Walls, King had living in a homeless shelter prior to appearing on the show. On the November 18, 2008 episode, Banks announced she would pay for King's surgery and introduced King to Dr. Marci Bowers, a gender reassignment surgeon. Analeigh Tipton: A former figure skater, Analeigh was expected to be comfortable with her own body and graceful in front of a camera. Unfortunately, she did not perform well in the beginning of the season, resulting in frequent critical comments by the judges and scoring in the bottom two for the swimsuit photo challenge.BuddyTV: Why Analeigh Should Win (November 18, 2008)
Brittany McKey Sullivan: A former female boxer, McKey is the only contestant left who has not appeared in the bottom two and she has won two challenges during the season. In one challenge, McKey managed to make an oversized outfit fashionable and she had to model clothes in Amsterdam's red light distict for the the other challenge. Samantha Potter: 18-year-old Samantha is one of the youngest women in the competition. When she began the series she had long hair and a goofy girl-next-door appeal but after her makeover, Samantha began to stand out.
