"America's Next Great Pundit" is a contest by The Washington Post. Contestants have until October 21, 2009, to submit a short essay on a news topic and another paragraph with a short bio and reasons "why you should win."

On October 30, 2009, the top 10 pundit hopefuls will compete against each other by "facing off in challenges that test the skills a modern pundit must possess."
