Among the provisions of the proposed stimulus bill are a variety of programs including $180 billion for states to expand unemployment benefits, funds to upgrade schools as well as federal buildings, investments for preventative health care and money to provide for an additional 3,000 miles of electrical lines in the United States.MSNBC.com: Obama: Stimulus plan means lower power bills After passage in the House of Representatives, the bill underwent some changes in the Senate.
