The American Idol top 12 for season eight were partially announced on the February 18, 2009 episode of the program. The second performance show took place February 25, 2009 with a results show the next day. The third performnce show was March 3, 2009 with the results show on March 4, 2009. The wild card show aired on March 5, 2009.
