  • American Gangster is the tenth album by Brooklyn rapper Jay-Z. The album was inspired by the 2007 Ridley Scott film of the same name.

    The debuted at the top of the Billboard 200, and was met with positive reviews from critics. It sold over a million copies in the United States.

    An A cappella version of the album was released the following month for DJs and fans to remix.
