American Airlines Flight 331 crashed off a runway at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica on the night of December 22, 2009. The plane apparently skidded off the runway and broke in to two pieces just after 10:00 p.m. local time. The flight originated in Washington, D.C. and stopped in Miami before crash landing off the runway in Jamaica. According to reports, the Boeing 737 had flown through pouring rain before it crashed. The injured passengers was taken by ambulance to the Kingston Public Hospital according to Information Minister Daryl Vaz.
