The AMC Moviewatcher Card is a rewards program by AMC Entertainment Inc. for frequent movie viewers to enjoy their favorite movies at AMC Theaters and gain points and prizes. The program began in 2009. AMC is the second largest movie theater chain in the United States, with Regal Entertainment being the 1st. AMC owns over 300 theaters and 4,600 screens, with a majority of these being in megaplexes. AMC theaters play many of the big name movies from the movie studios, and has recently begun to play some independent films.

AMC Theater's mascot is called Clip who is an animated filmstrip and was present in policy trailers which appeared before movies starting in 1991. The use of Clip was on hiatus through most of 2009 until he started reappearing during the Autumn of 2009.

The AMC Moviewatcher card is part of the rewards program of AMC Entertainment Inc. which gives movie watchers points whenever they go to see a movie at any AMC theater. The card has a unique points system where card holders can earn 2 points with each visit, with a maximum of 4 points per period. The card must be shown at the time of ticket purchase where the cashier will swipe the card and add the points to your account, or you can swipe the card when purchasing tickets from AMC's Automated Box Office (ABO) to earn points. When you use the card, along with receiving your tickets, you may get extra offers such as free or discounted soda, popcorn or candy. Card holders should hold onto those extra stubs for use at the concession stands. Points cannot be earned when Members do not earn points when the purchasing purchasing the following: AMC Gift Cards, AMC Gold Experience tickets, AMC Silver Experience tickets, AMC printable coupons and Show Snacks vouchers. After a period of 24 months (2 years) of inactivity, any points accumulated will be forfeit. Card holders receive 2 points for each ticket purchase, with 4 points maximum, per visit. The points they acquire will accumulate. The card holder receives free items for every 10 points earned. At 100 points earned, card holders get a free night at the movies. On occasion, card holders will receive an e-mail coupon for free or discounted items, which can be printed and used when they go to an AMC Theater. Card holders will usually receive an e-mail from AMC on a Friday regarding their current points balance with a coupon for free popcorn, and information about new movies coming out that week. Be sure to notice the expiration dates on coupon(s) because some have a limited life between a week to a month. Take note of when and how to use your free coupon also, some coupons are valid on certain days only and some rewards may vary depending on the location.
