About AMC Theaters
AMC Theaters saw its beginnings in 1920, Kansas City, MO when Edward Durwood abandoned his suffering career as a vaudeville performer and leased a movie theater. His son, Stanley Durwood, would expand the business, incorporating American Multi-Cinema (AMC) in 1968 to ten local theaters. AMC Theaters would come to be credited with many movie-theater aspects now commonly associated with the movie-goer experience such as the multi-plex and arm rests containing cup holders.

Some of the new features will be: rewards for both ticket and concession purchases, instant enrollment available in theaters and a better online shopping experience. If you already have the MovieWatcher card, it will continue to be honored until it is replaced by a superior rewards system.
