  • Recreational Use

Some youth abuse of zolpidem exists, and is generally becoming more widespread. The side effect profile shows why -- hallucinations, euphoria, and extroversion, combined with the fact that it's possible to gain a tolerance to some of the negative side effects quickly and still gain the euphoria and hallucinations. Abusers will also mix zolpidem with other substances (such as alcohol or marijuana) to intensify the effects.
