Amber Benson is an American actress. She was part of the ensemble cast of the hit television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer featuring Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Amber Nicole Benson was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on January 8, 1977. She made her feature film debut in the Alicia Silverstone star vehicle The Crush. She followed up that performance in the critically acclaimed 1993 Steven Soderbergh film King of the Hill, where she played the role of Ella McShane. She garnered national attention in 1999, when she was cast as the good witch Tara and the lesbian love interest to Allyson Hannigan's character of Willow on the hit television show. She has since appeared in such television shows as Supernatural, Cold Case and the Joss Whedon produced television show Dollhouse starring Eliza Dushku.
