The Amazon Kindle weighs only 10.3 ounces, and measures7.5 inches high by 5.3 inches wide by .7 inches deep. The screen size is 4.9 x 3.6 inches, 600 x 800 pixels and it uses E link technology. E link technology which makes the letters and words appear more like print. The Kindle has four scales of gray and 167 pixels per inch. One issue with E link is that the page takes a second to refresh and goes black when a page is turned.
The kindle is able to hold approximately 200 books in its185 MB internal memory and it has the ability to store thousands more books, MP3s, Audible audio books and more if you purchased the optional SD memory card.
The keyboard is built in under the screen. With a click of the button, you can sort by author, date or title. You can find books or periodicals. You can download newspapers, magazines and blogs. You can bookmark passages, make, edit, and export notes. Your place in the book is automatically saved so you won`t have to go searching for your page the next time.
