The body of her on-off boyfriend David Jacobs was next to her.

Savell had been a professional bodybuilder for several years. During that time she had been engaged to convicted steroids dealer David Jacobs.Her career came to an end when her body was found on June 5, 2008 in Jacobs's Plano, Texas home. On June 6, 2008, police announced the findings of a preliminary examination that indicated that Jacobs' wounds were self-inflicted.The New York Times: The Police Say Steroid Dealer Shot Himself (June 7, 2008) It is believed that Jacobs shot Savell and then shot himself. No suicide note was found at the scene.
