Amador Cellars is a winery in Plymouth, California. It is unique in its construction, which uses straw bales. It was founded in 2003 by Larry and Linda Long and currently produces 1,800 cases a year at $14-30 a bottle. The winery specializes in varieties that flourish in the area's warm climate.
Tastings and Tours
Amador Cellars is east of Sacramento. It is open Wednesday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The winery offers tours by appointment, and offers tastings with no fee. Private tasting and events are also available. On the premises are picnic facilities and a gift shop.
