Alzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative disease that is the most common cause of dementia. The disease acts by killing brain cells, which results in cognitive impairment and memory loss. However, while there is no cure for Alzheimer's disease at this time, if the Alzheimer's helmet actually stimulates brain cell growth, a treatment may be in the near future.
