Alyeska Ski Resort

The Alyeska Ski Resort is a ski resort in Girdwood, Alaska. This ski resort is the largest in the state of Alaska. Alyeska currently has six chair lifts and a high speed tram. It is a very difficult mountain and is mostly for expert and advanced skiers. Competitions also frequently take place at Alyeska due to its challenging nature. In December of 2006, the mountain was purchased by John Byrne III, who plans to make further improvements to the mountain.
