Altace (Ramipril) is an ACE Inhibitor used to treat hypertension and congestive heart failure. It is often prescribed to diabetics for its kidney-protective properties. Like other ACE inhibitors, Altace is unsafe for pregnant women. It is also typically taken with other medications in order to achieve the necessary blood pressure reduction goal.
