On April 20, 2008, GameTrailers.com unveiled a new trailer entitled "Descent" for Atari’s latest entry in the Alone in the Dark franchise. The video, widely available for viewing on YouTube, demonstrates a variety of features from the video game including a unique inventory system, high levels of environmental destruction, and the ability to mix items for different effects. At one point during the trailer, Edward Carnby was shown shooting a molotov cocktail in mid-air after he threw it at a group of enemies.
Game Info
Alone in the Dark is a survival-horror game set around Edward Carnby's investigation of mysterious paranormal disturbances within Central Park. The game's storyline unfolds in a manner similar to those of major television series such as 24, with each episode ending on a cliffhanger. Once a player chooses to exit the game, a teaser for the next episode will display. When he/she resumes gameplay, a brief recap of events will remind players of their objectives.
