As with all Xbox 360 games, Alone in the Dark 5 has an achievement list. Players can earn Xbox points based on performing several tasks in the game. There are currently 38 known achievements in the game and 12 secret achievements. The tasks range from creating Molotov cocktails to driving 10 miles with a vehicle. Eight achievements require a player to pass the level while watching all of the cut scenes.
