According to Ballesta's official site, she has been involved in several environmental and anti-poverty causes, including the United Nations' micro-loan programs and Greenpeace's efforts to prevent sea floor pollution. She is also reportedly involved in a charitable organization called Triball in her native Spain. The group spearheads an effort to revitalize the red-light district along Madrid's Ballesta Street. -
