Actor Allen Covert was arrested on March 24, 2008 at around 6 pm for assaulting a photographer. Covert was on the set of Bedtime Stories with actors Adam Sandler, Guy Pearce and Courteney Cox Arquette, who witnessed the altercation, when the L.A. Police came and took him to jail. Covert was upset because he thought the photographer was filming his daughter and so he argued with the photographer, spit on him, and tried to slap the camera out of his hand. Covert was released shortly after his arrest.
