All About My Mother is a 2000 film written and directed by Pedro Almodovar, starring Cecilia Roth, Marisa Paredes, Penelope Cruz and Fernando Fernan Gomez. Plot Synopsis
Manuela is a single mother in Madrid caring for her son Esteban. One day, Esteban is hit by a car and dies. This is such a shock to Manuela, that she moves to Barcelona, trying to find the father of her dead son. The father is a transvestite named Lola, who is unaware that he has a son. She meets Rosa, a nun who finds out she is pregnant from Lola. Manuela helps Rosa through the rough pregnancy.
