Aliona Savchenko

Aliona Savchenko is a figure skater representing Germany in the 2010 Winter Olympics. She competes in Olympic pairs figure skating with partner Robin Szolkowy. 2010 Vancouver Olympics

Aliona Savchenko competed in the Olympic Pairs Free Skating events at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. This will be her third Olympic competition, having previously competed in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2002 where she finished in 15th place and in Turin, Italy in 2006 where she placed 6th with partner Robin Szolkowy. http://www.ctvolympics.ca/countries/country=ger/athletes/athlete=3336/competitive-history/index.html

In the preliminary short program, Savchenko and Szolkowy placed 2nd with a score of 75.96, which broke the previous record of 75.36 held by Zhao Hongbo and Shen Xue of China. Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy won the bronze with a score of 210.60.
