Alice Springs

Alice Springs is a town in the Northern Territory of central Australia. It is a railway depot and a supply center serving the Australian outback. It is where the Ayers Rock is located, a massive monolith that serves as a famous attraction to tourists.

History

Alice Springs was once known as Stuart in 1871. But because the name was not that appealing, it was officially changed to the name Alice Springs in 1933. The town had a quite slow development making it only until 1987 that they had constructed a first class road accessible by any vehicle.Uluru to Kakadu: Alice Springs History
