The concept of algae fuel has come about as the quest for alternative renewable fuel sources continues in light of the rising cost of oil production.
Several companies around the globe are experimenting with various technologies to utilize the natural lipid oils found in algae for replacement of regular petroleum oil and oil byproducts, including diesel.

Efficiency
When harvested, algae yields oil that can be used to produce biodiesel. In addition, it thrives on carbon dioxide gases while emitting pure oxygen.
