Alfonso Soriano is an All-Star Outfielder for the Chicago Cubs. Soriano made his Major League debut in 1999 for the New York Yankees. After bouncing around the league, playing for the Texas Rangers and the Washington Nationals, Soriano was signed by the Chicago Cubs in 2007 for an eight-year contract worth more than $130 million.

Career Highlights
Soriano is recognized as one of the best lead-off hitters currently playing the game. In 2003, Soriano set the record for the most lead-off home runs in a season, with 13. He led the American League in 2002 in runs, hits and stolen bases. Soriono has thus far had a successful stint with the Chicago Cubs, leading the team in 2007 in home runs, triples, runs and slugging percentage. -
