The Alfa Romeo 8C Spider along with its sister two-seater, the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, mark the first Alfa Romeos available for sale in the US market since 1995. The 8C Spider was first introduced at the 2005 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
The carbon fiber-bodied 8C Spider is powered by the same Ferrari/Maserati-developed V8 that turns out 190 mph in its sister car, the 8C Competizione. The 8C Spider’s official top speed, however, is listed at 181 mph.
