Dr. J's Daughter
Stevenson's mother, Samantha Stevenson, reportedly had a relationship with Erving, who was married at the time, starting in 1976, but after Alexandra was born, Erving was not involved. She met her father when she was eight years old, but only for a moment. Stevenson denied her paternity for several years, but later met Erving when she was 18 years old and an up and coming tennis star.ESPN.com: Reaching Out
